Meet David

dw-0029 - Edited.png

Husband. Father. Chaplain.

I grew up on a farm in Hickman County, Tennessee, just 15 minutes off the Bucksnort exit. My parents were blue-collar bi-vocational farmers. The small farm did not earn much money, but it provided much of the food we needed.

Both of my parents worked a factory job until the company decided to close its doors and move. This was a hard time for our family, but others had it much worse. The gardens continued to sustain us while my parents looked for work.

Even though we didn't have much, my parents were still generous with the food that grew, often giving away large sacks of groceries for those also struggling to make ends meet.

When family and neighbors needed a helping hand, my parents and my grandparents would be there to assist. These lessons taught me that we all need one another, and we all have a part to play in caring for our community.

Today, I'm a married father and chaplain, with Bachelor's degrees in religion and education, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor in Ministry.

I am running for office because I think it is important to have people in leadership roles who fully embrace and love the community.

It would be my honor to serve in this capacity.

We can't control how loud the other side is.
But we can control how grounded we are.
